The film that started it all for the extremely successful sequels, takes a wickedly offbeat look at law, disorder and justice. The Los Angeles Times praises the "one good belly laugh after another in the raucous tradition of 'Animal House' and 'Porky's'..." Starring Steve Guttenberg ("Three Men and a Baby," "Cocoon"), George Gaynes ("Tootsie") and Golden Globe-nominee Kim Cattrall ("Sex and the City"), this movie will enlist the funny bones of your audience!
Join the club – The First Wives Club, the good-time battle-of-the-sexes satire sparked by snappy one-liners, great physical-comedy gags and three unforgettable stars in top form. Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton portray mid-life Manhattanites who have more than a longtime friendship in common. After years of helping their hubbies climb the ladder of success, each has been dumped for a newer, curvier model. But the trio is determined to turn their pain into gain. They come up with a cleverly devious plan to hit their exes where it really hurts – in the wallet! Sit back and watch the sparks fly as The Wives get mad, get even and get it all. Justice has seldom been so sweet. Or so much fun.
Kelsey Grammer stars as Lt. Commander Thomas Dodge, a free-thinking yet undeniably capable officer whose first command in the U.S. nuclear submarine corpse turns out to be a World War II-era diesel-powered rust bucket that hasn't seen active duty since Benny Goodman topped the song charts. Concerned about the threat of quiet diesel-powered submarines now being sold off to unreliable Third World countries by a cash-strapped Soviet Union, the Navy develops a war game to determine if Dodge's leaky Stingray can somehow tiptoe past the nuclear defenses along the American East Coast. Dodge is given a grab bag of greenhorns, malcontents and just plain idiots to pilot the old sub. Now Tom Dodge must not only contend with an ancient vessel, he must make sailors out of a motley crew.
What do you do with a former First Lady who's unpredictable, ornery and impossible to please? Anything she wants! Shirley MacLaine and Nicolas Cage star in this comic, compassionate look at life after the White House for two former Washington insiders: First Lady Tess Carlisle and Secret Service agent Doug Chesnic.
Brendan Fraser, Sarah Jessica Parker and Alfred Molina star in the hilarious adventures of the young, accident-prone Royal Canadian Mountie known as Dudley Do-Right. Dastardly Snidely Whiplash (Molina) launches a fake gold rush as part of his devious plan to take over the world. Thousands of would-be millionaires stream over the border and into town, and, as a result, bumbling Dudley (Fraser) loses his job. Stripped of his badge, his office and his ladylove, our mild-mannered (and somewhat dim-witted) hero sets out on a mission to defeat the villain, win the heart of the fair maiden and bring peace back to the Semi-Happy Valley.
An amusing spoof of the good 'ole westerns back in the halcyon days when all the cliches were held up as icons, this parody by Hugh Wilson works best for savvy audiences. Rex O'Herlihan (Tom Berenger) is a singing cowboy with a wardrobe straight out of the Hollywood westerns of the '40s he worships his horse, and has a trusty sidekick too. Every town he wanders into has a sheriff on the dole, a shady cattle rancher, a prostitute with a heart of gold, an innocent young damsel, a town drunk, and the standard bad guys in black hats and long coats (Spaghetti-western style) who brutalize the poor sheep ranchers. After setting things straight in each identical town as he goes, Rex is beginning to feel like a re-run junky when he saunters into a town that is slightly different and the parodies continue.

Co-starring John Goodman ("Roseanne"), stand-up comedian Bobcat Goldthwait ("Police Academy 3"), G.W. Bailey ("M*A*S*H") and Academy Award-nominee Lesley Ann Warren ("Victor/Victoria").
